View on Baggage ULD |
For ULD allocation we can assume it is expressed in segments (groupings of legs) operated with a single aircraft per segment.
Loading and/or unloading instructions are dispatched to stations at start and end of segment as per need to move

Story for bag segment is bit more tricky. How much of below goes into Baggage Logistics??

bag must be delivered one or more transport service segments(TSS) down the line

A TSS may break up in smaller chunks when an aircraft crosses border (present bag to customs at first entry)

A TSS may break up in smaller chunk when flight has planned aircraft change-en-route (change of gauge)

Two TSS may join when both are on same aircraft in immediate sequence (Evelien, Olympics)

Aircraft that services an TSS may change flight midway (triangle flights)
